HopeLINK is the community care branch of Gladstone Church of Christ, developed in 2009 as a result of the church’s desire to be actively engaged in supporting and connecting with the local community – offering Christ’s hope and expressing God’s love to all. From its beginnings it has sought to identify and respond to the real needs of vulnerable people in the Gladstone area, linking people to established local services or developing programs that address those needs where no support currently exists.

During the years since HopeLINK began, it has developed a number of programs and services including small group work, one-to-one mentoring, a playgroup, counselling, and has partnered with CAP to become Gladstone’s first free debt centre.

HopeLINK seeks to strengthen the Gladstone community by training and equipping volunteers and members of the community to support each other in a journey of personal development according to their individual needs. Volunteers, therefore, play a key role in the operation of many of HopeLINK’s programs.
